i don't think lucas has a interest in transformers, he's too busy tampering with his classics series to care about ruining transfomers, thats michael bays job.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
no i dont think its to much hes bust ing his way into every story line that has anything good in it hes trying to ruin the movie world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
the only thing lucas is ruining is star wars...and pretty soon indiana jones too :(
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
and eventually transformers!!!!
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
why do people think lucas is involved in any of the transformers movies? ILM is probably involved in the effects, but that doesn't mean Lucas does anything.
My issue with "Devastator" is why the heck did they name the stupid tank devastator in the first movie if they are going to make a NEW character with the real devastator qualities. My prediction is whatever they robot is, wont matter in the overall story because they wouldn't show it in the trailer if it did.
My other prediction (which I will gladly take back if i'm wrong) is the movie is going to BLOW hard core! Here's why.. First, the first story left no opening to even care about or want to see Sam and Mikaela ever again. They lived happily ever after because they made out on bumblebee. Which is my main issue with Transformers in the first place. There was no theme to the movie. just action. I love movies that have a meaning behind the story, where the character is different and the lesson is learned forever in the end. Like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, the Battlestar Galactica series, Spiderman, even Superman Returns to name a few sci fi action examples. Those movies have a theme to their stories (sometimes similar) there are consequences to their actions and they are forever changed when it's over. The theme of Bay Transformers is just "blow everything up" The lesson is "Transformers fight each other" Most people are totally fine with that, but I believe there can be more to an action film, and I don't think it's wrong to expect it from a giant title like Transformers. And that is my on going issue with Micheal Bay. *puke*
I don't know anything about the movie. I haven't looked for leaked scripts. I did, however, look up the cast list on IMDB just now an among the main character names I see someone called "College Frat Guy" and a "Frat Guy#1" ON THE FIRST PAGE! I would bet you money this is a comic relief cast member sure to say something completely worthless after something explodes. But the fact that it is in the front line up makes me REALLY nervous. Also, it looks like Jazz is back... Ok.... why did we kill him? so they can bring him back, because they are going to kill Optimus in the second movie? and bring him back in 3??? wouldn't surprise me.
And my final reason for betting it's gonna stink is they made this movie one year later, and the trailer only says "REVENGE" as it's motivation for storyline. no, allspark, no unavoidable next chapter to a series, just revenge.. Rrraaaa!
I'm still gonna go see it, and i'll probably enjoy it because it will be a snap to sit there and follow whatever the story is, but months later it will wear off and it will be obvious that it's not good cinema...
That's my prediction.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
Couldn't say it any better, Cap.
Let me add one thing, for me Transformers should have been a sci-fi movie, instead of an action flick with sci-fi elements.
They really should have given the public a chance to take in the Transformer mythos. The movie was like 8 layers of action, with a tiny candy center of sci-fi.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
hmm devastator looks awesome but yes i agree they shouldnt have named the robot devastator i dont get the whole story nit picking thing but im sure you can explain it i havent seeen the movie since march so i need to see it before the new one comes out
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
what are really hoped in T2 is:
- the decepticorns to get way for screentime than they did last time, last time the only decepticorn that that little robot thing (whats his name?) you barely got to see any of the other decepitcorns, they appeared out of nowhere then out of sight again especialy bonecrusher (i think it was) he was a army jeep who didn't even last 5 mins, he quickly got killed by prime then last we saw what was that all about.
they could actually do now, they delt the the autobots, the human and the backstory so now they could deal with the decepitcorns.

i think they said that unicron is going to be in this one and that the auto bot bring back megatron to help them then the decepticpons betrsy the auto bot while fighting unicron at the same time that would be so cool
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
and also a pretty unoriginal predictable plot that sounds like something bay would do i heard megatron may not be in the movie

unicron is the brother of primus the creator of the transformers and is a planet eater his goal in life is to eat the entire universe but i researched it unicron probably isnt in this movie but his like assistant dude the fallen might be, the fallen is one of the thirteen original transformers created by primus but he is evil and a traitor and he go t sucked into a black hole with primus and unicron when primus and the prime transformers tried to destroy unicron primus died and the fallen got stucck between dimensions and unicron managed to get back to this universe and this dimension and primus's body came back and is now the planet cybertron so you can go see primus's head on cybertron and there is a theory that the fallen in the title may not be the decepticons it might be the fallen who is stuck between dimensions and then to fight the fallen the autobots need megatrons help so they bring him back and he callls a full fledged attack of decepticons to destroy the fallen and then mega tron and the decpticons attack earth while there at it
that would be so cool
and if the fallen is in this movie i can see unicron in the next movie
or in the end of this one
that would be awesome

If I remember the first movie corectly there was a reason to care and want to see Mikaela again. That reason would be that Mikaela is played by Megan Fox.

bobreeda, you just made my heart hurt. Unicron is the giant planet destroying robot (total deathstar transformer) from the original Transformers movie from back in the day.
*sings* You got the touch! You got the PowwwweaaaaaaaaaaR!
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
looks like theyre bringing more stuff from the old t.v. show which is a good thing. That kinda stuff works with movies, the new hulk did good cause of the similarities with the t.v. show. This should do good too with all these new robots based on others from the t.v. show.

Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
wow that is a much better trailer than just a bunch of robots transforming
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
I watched the trailer. It looks exciting but it also looks a LOT like the first one, without the appeal of being new. I have a feeling a lot of our generosity in reviewing the first film will have faded for this one and I'm willing to bet, as sequels tend to go, that the story will have even more holes. Unless Megan Fox's character dies. Everybody wants to protect their childhood programing but no one has a problem with the fact that Sam's girlfriend is a ho? I mean really, what happened to the charm of the "girl next door" character. It seems like that would make more sense in the story. Eh, Michael Bay. **and this isn't female jealousy, I would love for her to be totally gorgeous (which Megan Fox is), just not slutty.**
What is the sand sucking transformer at the end? Is he from anything original?
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
She's a ho? Or does she just have a lot weird coincidences where the camera is filming her at provocative angles?
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
Yes and yes. That's pretty much what I mean. Michael Bay chooses to make her look like a ho, which I don't really get...other than for obvious reasons.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
At least you understand. Bay is all about eye candy. Big explosions, hot girls, fast cars, shaky camera sequences, large robots. It just fits in his genre.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
that story looks pointless, and the effects look halfway done. So far I'm let down.
Bay's genre is poop on a stick...

to tell u the truth, when i saw the recent trailer, it got me less excited.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
I saw a 2 minute clip of the new movie and it was pretty much just dialouge between Sam and Bumblebee, and every couple of secondes they would flash to megan fox putting on a dress. So in any scene of peace, they have to keep the audience excited. I suppose.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
I just read that Frank Welker was going to play Soundwave in the new movie.
