Tricky. Don't think I could pick just one. I mean, great in what way?

Statistically, it appears to be Michael Jackson's Thriller, the best selling album of all time.

I'll go with Combat Rock by the Clash until I change my mind....

The Beatles: St. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

or personally I can be happy with...
Jewel: Pieces of You

This is a hard question, Mine personally out of all the ones that I own would have to be Dookie.
The Rest of their work got really dark, after this album.

Ok, Double post (as usual) But I've been wearing a Pink Floyd T-Shirt all day for their album Dark Side of the moon, and I didn't even realize it.

So I take back what I said Dark Side of the moon is the best album ever:

I don't think people give these guys enough credit...

This album definitely had something for everybody (and i mean everybody)

For some reason The Clash "London Calling" is always listed as one of the greatest albumbs, but I have never figured out why. There's only one or two songs on there that are even kind of well known. Hotel California is another one that gets a lot of pub for greatest and is probably my fav.

hmmm......I could go on forever about this one. Led Zepplin IV, The White Album by the Beetlees, Pearl Jam Ten, Coheed and Cambria Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, and Are You Experienced? by Jimi Hendrix are among my favorites. I also love Mary Sea of the Star by Zwan

I vote for Smile by Brian Wilson (but originally written for the Beach Boys).

So strange, so beautiful, so revolutionary, so legendary, so mind-bogglingly perfect, it took 37 years to release it.

Have we forgotten about the awesomeness of Bon Jovi?

Also, "Hotel California" is one of the top five greatest songs ever.
