I had a thought the other day while I was bussing tables at work.Remember the ending of War of the Worlds? Right towards the very end where the U.S soldiers use the "Javelin" to take down the un-shielded tri-pod?Well, despite the fact that I don't own an XBox or PS3, I do know that the "Javelin" is a notorious weapon in Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer. The weapon is somewhat a staple to the franchise, often times because "noob tubers" use the Javelin, and other weapons such as the Thumper, or Grenade Launchers to shoot randomly across the map in hopes of scoring an easy kill.My suggestion?Make a War of The Worlds episode next month (of course, after the Inception parody) which includes the same scenario with the soldiers destroying the Tri-pod with the Javelin...BUT, at that point, interrupt the War of The Worlds subject, and bring in MW2.I'm not quite sure how we could go about that...Maybe you could show the opposing team (probably Spetsnaz) getting mad at the U.S soldiers because they are "noob tubing" their tripods...then use a volley of sarcastic conversation between both groups-as Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning look on in disbelief...something of that sort? But using that as an effective humor tactic could very well boost ratings/hits in the future...I mean, who doesn't play COD nowadays? And who wouldn't be tempted to subscribe to HISHE after they incorporated such an awesome pun into War of the Worlds?Just a thought.
