My newest internet series, this one is one everyone here will LOVE because it's got the HISHE style. Original Screenplays is something me and Partially Insane Films (which is also me) decided to make in which famous movie scenes are made more realistic. It's funny too! ... Sometimes.First Episode is up now, we decided to go with Stephen Kings IT. We interpose the actually footage with us, however this video just features some kid. So comment it, favorite it, like it, and SUBSCRIBE. Come back anytime! Bring your friends! You'll like it down here with us, we'll teach you how to ...  I like the concept, and you did a good job with making the new footage close in appearance to the old footage, but your cuts need to be cleaner and I think the jokes could use a little punching up.  On the whole the video was entertaining and a clever concept though, so (factoring in resources) I'd give you a solid B for the project.  NickelCrew.net

I concur.  This totally fits in the HISHE realm.  Good Job!  The script is good, like ronin said just tighten the cuts.  Also, try to keep the close ups the same angle.  I noticed the camera switches sides and sometimes doesn't even show the actors face.  Also careful with the 180 rule at 1:53.    I would suggest keeping the close up of your actor at the over the shoulder angle from the sewer and use wide shots for the reactions like pulling his hand up.Other than that I thought it was very clever :)  Oh, and if you can mix some sound effects, some water noise to blend that drain sound from the real movie would blend the cuts really well too.

I just made a post and saw yours. Thanks man! There were a few problems I had while shooting the angles. Obviously there was no drain I could shoot inside and plus that would have been dangerous anyway. So I wanted to shoot at lower angle so it looks like he is actually  looking down in it. However I couldn't place the tripod low enough for that type of shot, so I tried to get down on my back and do it. So I eventually just pulled it to the side and shot him and those are the scenes that you couldn't see his face. Techincally that's my really lazy way of not wanting to editing Pennywises face and match up vocal recordings and take more shots of my brother. At about 1:25 I did continuous shot of my brother that was really good and I wish I had just filmed the whole thing like that. The scene where it changes completely wasn't actually shot like that. When he pulls his arm out it was actually his left arm so I reversed the clip to make it the correct arm being pulled away.So that's basically the whole joke of the video his arm being pulled out in time to due to that long time the kid actually waits in the movie. (It's only noticable if you watch closesly) Then just a bunch of jokes to stretch it out about the Rocky Horror picture show and stuff like that. It may not have been the best movie to start with, but it's one of my favorites and I figured it would be a good attempt to start with being that props were minimum and plenty of places to film. I have some other scripts like this for the breakfast club and cloverfield so I don't know which one i'll make first, but right now Matt of our group is currently writing some sketches I hope to film this coming month.

I noticed the cuts were a little bad too, I'm the process of getting a better editing tool and most likely a whole new laptop so it took me forever to finish this. Yeah the jokes weren't the best but it was mostly because I didn't want my 8 year old brother to be talking innapropriate. Plus, people seem to get offened by children doing such anyway. So I kept it down to the clown rape joke and just had him say "What the hell"Also I don't know if anyone else knows a better way to download Youtube clips. I've seen other websites that really don't work and shouldn't be messed with so I use http://mediaconverter.org/ the problem is, is that the clips don't ever come out of the same quality of which downloaded.

I love the concept! The thing I would say to work on would be filming on the right day (i.e not sunny when it's supposed to be raining). Other than that, you have something special being started. The only thing that I could suggest about the video converter is to upload it in a higher quality. At least, that's the only way I know how to so far.

Thanks! Everyone has been liking it A LOT. I haven't mentioned this anywhere else ... not even the Partially Insane Forums.Since i'm moving this fall to a new apartment I'm planning on shooting a new series (very frequently, one a week) in which it follows the insane events of being lazy at the PIF HQ desperatley trying to complete videos for the very same channel. Basically desribing my whole situation this summer.I think i just mentioned it but the next one these are going to be holiday themed movies and then I'm starting with other well known films next year.

Sounds like a great idea!show you struggling to get films done on one channel...Then able to watch that same film on another channel!
