So is LOST wearing everyone else out as much as it is me?
Can it pull out of the dull slope it seems to be heading down?
Do you think the final answers will ever live up to the anticipation?
What is it about this latest batch of episodes that seems so weak compared to the last two Seasons?

LOST
Haven't had a chance to watch last night's episode yet.. but I gotta say that I agree. I'm sick of Jack Kate and Sawyer.. their stories aren't interesting enough to carry the show.
I'm more interested in Locke, Desmond and Hurley than I am with the big 3.
It's a shame, because the show had great promise early on (and even this season, the first 15 minutes of the first episode of the season had me excited) but it's died down. Too bad really.
Hopefully they can pull out of it... but I doubt it at this point.

LOST
Well, I thought the first two episodes of this little "mini-season" were AWESOME. Gripping. Exciting. Sexy. Chock full of mythology. Awesome!
I agree that the last two episodes were a little boring, but at least we got to see some Hurley and Jin, which I was excited about.
So, I'm standing by my claim that LOST is still the greatest TV show ever made. I think that not every episode is going to be the most exciting, but when viewed as a whole, it will be great. It's kind of like watching the first two seasons on DVD...some of those boring episodes seemed painful when we'd have to wait 2-3 weeks to get another epsiode. But when you watch them back to back on DVD, they become more "connector" episodes between the awesomeness.
In my humble opinion, LOST rules. And I think there's greatness to come. Hang in there, folks...it's still one of the most amazing shows ever!
LOST
Lost ruled. Not so much anymore. It's like watching Michael Jordan when he came back and played for the Wizards. You are so excited to watch it and then you get totally disappointed. I was ready to turn it off last night after five minutes. I'm totally disappointed where this show is headed.

LOST
You'll be sorry if you quit watching...I'll bet you'll go into serious withdrawals! It's like CRACK!
LOST
I'm with Buffs here. While I'm seriously disappointed, I can't really stop watching it. Plus, what would I complain about every week if I didn't watch this show??? :)
LOST
Withdrawls? I kick withdrawls in the throat. Withdrawls have no effect on me!
LOST
or you just eat a billion jolly rancher pops :P
LOST
that's because those things freaking rule! Jolly rancher lolly pops are the greatest inventions of all time. Those and Gummy Worm sours.
LOST
so... back to lost.
are we supposed to think that the woman's cat from Sayid's past was taken to the island as well?
I thought this episode was better than the last few, but i'm still not on the edge of my seat you know?
LOST
I looked at the cats this morning, and they're similar but not identical. But I think it's the smoke monster iteration, like Jack's Dad, Kate's horse, Hurley's friend...
I really liked the episode...I think it was action-packed, but I am always hoping for more mythology and it was missing on this epsiode (except for the cat). But I think it was pretty fun to watch anway. It hurt to see all of those manuals go up in smoke!
Overall, I still think it's the best show on TV. I'm not going to keep trying to keep people jazzed about it though. Either it's doing it for you, or it's not, or you know that it will do it for you by the season finale. But I have nothing but hope and I'm staying on board for the long haul!
LOST
your mom does it for me
LOST
WHAT?
LOST
My spectacles are a bit fuzzy but I believe what he said was "Your mom does it for me." Again I could be wrong on this one.
Also I've never watched lost, I'm still so bitter after the suckfest that Smallville has become that I'm extremely leery of nearly any television show no matter how cool the premise.
LOST
I should clairify that "your mom" is an automatic comeback we sometimes use at our house. probably too often, but it's always funny. Gil (who is out of town partying it up rrrr i mean working in Austin this weekend) is just kidding around.
BUT back to lost.
I agree with LetsGoBuffs. i feel the end of the season has to be something major so it will be worth sticking around for. However, something feels weird about this season. Maybe it's just because we are so envolved in such a massive story that we expect whats to come to be even more massive, maybe not. To me it feels like the writing has taken such a lazy turn. There doesn't seem to be a specific "goal" this time. Unless that goal is to "save Jack", which would be fine except jack doesn't want to be saved and has his own plan right now. The paths everyone are taking just feel really skattered and random to me. And that bugs me to death.
This is why: There was a huge "cliff hanger" moment in Season 2 where Jack asked Anna Lucia "how long will it take you to train an army?" the show ended and we were all "SWEET THEY ARE GONNA FIGHT BACK! THIS SHOW IS AWESOME!" and wouldn't you know it, they never went through with it. It never happened. they barely talked about it afterwards and then guess who dies! So my point is, i feel like the show misdirects you sometimes for no reason, and if you have a question about a character that they don't want to answer, they just kill them off. which to me makes the previous episodes where those characters set up a possilble plot direction poinless. It's Not bad (I still love the show) just dumb.
Valar, i do recommend watching the show. it's freakin addictive. that's why it's frustrating :) Go rent Disk one of Season one and i promise you'll be hooked just from the pilot episode.
LOST
I totally hear you...but what I think is the coolest about this show is that nobody has a CLUE what it's about. It's 2 1/2 seasons in to the show, and we still have a huge mystery to uncover. And that's why I think it's so unique!
I do share your feelings about the "training the army" stuff though...it seems like everyone IS really split apart this season.
And Gil, get off my mom already.
I just got off yours.
lol

I 100%, completely, totally agree with you on this Val!!! I was just talking to a co-worker about how it's about to implode from all this cyclical story-line garbage we've had to endure. They need to end it, and begin the new series METROPOLIS.
But back to LOST....
It's just the modern-day version of Gilligan's Island! Argue all you want, it's still true.
(*turning a table on it's side and ducking behind it for cover*)
LOST
Okay, NO WAY is it like Giligan's Island!!
So here's what I was thinking lately. LOST is frustrating because while we wait an entire week for another episode, its very possible that it's the same day on the island. We're expecting them to move forward more quickly when in reality they are only a few hours further along from the revelation. Like I'm pretty sure only a few days have passed since the end of season 2! So I guess I need to be more patient. I do love the show...I just think sometimes the writing/dialogue is completely unrealistic to what you would actually do or how any normal person would actually react. And its obvious they do it in order to continue the mystery. For instance when Sawyer was talking to Carl (Alex's boyfriend) and he mentioned that the others would kill him if he went back to their little housing development...Sawyer was just like, "yeah, that sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do." WHAT!! Any normal person would be asking WHY WHY WHY!!!
But its still awesome because I certainly don't spend this much time thinking about any other show...
LOST
So, lost was pretty sweet last night eh?
LOST
LOST was so great, it made me have a cranial hemorrhage.
LOST
do you think the real reason the others came back to the original island was because the writers didn't want to make kate, syiad, and locke cross the water? does the second island have no purpose now?
LOST
That's a good question. I think its still important...and we knew they lived on the main island from the beginning of this season; so it makes sense that they would return.
I have to say, this past ending was definitely their best in a while!! wow.
LOST
I think it's even sicker in a way that they are all living on the same island. Having the hydra station on another island makes it feel distant, but it's so icky that they're all right there together. pfwew! I love this show so much.
So, do we think Jack is brainwashed, accepting his fate with the Others to become their next leader, or just playing along, ready to strike? It's hard to tell at this point, but I like to think that he's just playing the game. Literally (with Tom ha ha) and figuratively.
And now Jack is little Aaron's uncle? Even though I had suspicions that Claire and Jack were siblings, I hadn't made that connection. By the way, I thought that Goth Claire was freakin' hot. Even though, in keeping with LOST tradition, her flashback wig was revolting.
Did I mention that LOST is the best show ever? I think I did.
ps - I have since looked at more photos of the two cats (Sayid's and Mr. Eyepatch), and now I think I was wrong earlier. Now I think it's the same cat. But I think it's the supernatural representation, like Kate's horse...not the actual same cat.
LOST
Okay, I think Jack's playing along. I don't think he's stupid enough to just trust that quickly. BUT, maybe he feels like he has nothing to go back to with the plane crash people. He saw Kate sleep with Sawyer...and its not like he had a "real" relationship with anyone from the crash.
Yeah, this show is greatness and I'm actually looking forward to the next one...which is the first time in a while. I have to say I called the Claire and Jack thing, so that was less cool, but I still think its nice that it came out. John thought she looked hot with dark hair too. :)
yep, great show.
LOST
If Jack isn't just gaining trust so he can escape i'm going to scream "HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO TRAIN AN ARMY ANYONE?" because it will be season two dump-the-plot-in-the-trash all over again.
LOST
Actually I'm still a devout Lost fan. I think everyone is growing impatient with LOST because they have created so many mysteries and answered so few. But it has on;y been three seasons. With a show as epic as LOST I think we all just need to be patient
LOST
You're wise beyond your years, Kweejibo. I agree 100%.
LOST
Thanks, Lost is such a great show and still has so much potential
