I'm a fan of X-men. At least I would say I am a supporter (before X3 to origins that is) But X-men stories, despite the typical "stop the badguy before the explosion" plot like most hero flicks, have the whole "acceptance" thing going for them. And it's that idea that makes people connect with the entire series. Sure every mutant has a unique ability that makes them cool, and you couldn't sell action figures without that little detail, but everyone can identify with the idea of feeling different. I know I can. So that was sort of the angle we wanted to focus on with an X-Men HISHE. Sort of point out actually how long the argument between Charles and Erik actually lasts. At what point does Magneto go, "You know... I'm getting pretty old... my strategy of wipe out people in my path doesn't seem to be changing much to make things easier... Maaaaaaaybe i could rethink my opinions a little" nope :) X-men are stubborn.

you think at some point they'd just come out and say, "You know, I really just like to play chess with my bros." cause that's all they end up doing anyways. (in the movies that is)

So I hope you enjoy this HISHE. It was a fun one to make, yet still very challenging. A lot of dialog in this one. First Class, although a great movie, couldn't be let go without pointing out how really unnecessary the "choose your side and choose it now" scene is at the end. There's so many conflicts happening right there that everyone just stands by and lets fall apart. Why do Shaw's men not care about their boss dying? Why does Erik not have any compassion about Charles being wounded, he's just like "sorry dude... I gotta be somewhere" Raven's like "take care of him, I gotta go too" Come on. No way. Real people would be like "HOLY CRAP our friend might be dying! We should take care of him!" "maybe we could float over to a ship and get some medical supplies and have a heart to heart talk with the military at the same time!" Whaaaaaaaa? that's crazy! :)

I really enjoyed working on this one, and I'm really excited about the final product. I think everyone did a great job. It's always fun to take all these little pieces of audio and mix it together to make an actual conversation. (all of our audio is recorded separately) But when it works on a scale of this one, it's especially satisfying. That with Bryan's amazing music work... just makes for a fun project. I hope you guys enjoyed it. :)
