Spoofing comedies are tough.  Spoofing a classic comedy that people will love till they die is worse.  Ghostbusters was one of those titles that no matter what we wrote for the HISHE we still wanted to give it more.  Something with the Slimer in the hotel.  Something with the containment unit.  Something with Rick Moranis.  Anything from the sequel!  The list is huge because it's a film that means so much to us as well as everyone else in the world.  We talked ghostbusters options a LOT on this one...  But, since our thing is to look for flaws and since ghostbusters is such a beloved comedy, the more we tried to create jokes inside the already funny movie it felt like we were stepping over our respectable boundaries.  So we decided to play it straight.  Pick a flaw, and go with it. The flaw in Ghostbusters is they are unreasonably lucky.  They even joke about having never tested their equipment when they first turn on the proton packs in the hotel elevator.  They get out of jail.  They survive the earthquake.   So we thought it was extremely convenient that "crossing the streams" was a serious danger at first, but once Gozer comes along it's actually something that can kill (or just send back) gods while saving everyone else in the blast radius. CONVENIENT!And our second portion was just a fun gag to dabble in what would have happened if Ray had said yes.also not to mention we wanted to point out that Peter did have knock out drugs with him on his first date with Dana.  Just a little detail there, but it happened  :)  Oh Venkman... he's such a loose cannon.As for Credits:Producer: Tina AlexanderArtwork:  Otis FramptonOtis is a fantastic artist who has already illustrated two of the video game shorts, but never been on a HISHE movie short until now.  I think he did an amazing job, so I'm sure we will have more titles for him in the future.Voices:Ray/Winston - John Alexander  (first time in a HISHE short)Egon - Brock Baker (also first time in a HISHE short)Brock is an outstanding voice impressionist which a lot of you may already know his WORK.  It was great to get to use his voice talents and since he has such a range of voices I can say it is very likely you will hear him again in the HISHE world.Dana/Zuul - Stephanie FisherPeter/Reporter - Daniel BaxterMusic: as always, the great Bryan English And that's the list!  hope you guys enjoyed it.  Ghostbusters is a childhood favorite, and it was a joy to get to build this short with so many new and old faces.
