just for the fun of it, i think that "the kings speach" should win(although i missed that movie), but realisticaly speaking The Social Network would win 75% of alll nominies

I know Im probably the minority on this, but I really liked The King's Speech and I think that it should win best picture. If not best picture, then Colin Firth and Geoffory Rush should absolutely earn best actor and best supporting actor considering that the acting was what really made this film the success that it was. My first and second runner-ups are Inception(which I also think will win best cinematography & best screenplay) and The Social Network.

I think it will in fact win, if The Social Network doesn't. My personal choice would be 127 Hours, but the Academy would probably say no to that. Actually, a 127 Hours HISHE would be rather interesting.

PatriotsboyI think True Grit Should win it.

I don't know...  Ineption was pretty good......

"Toy Story 3" should win.The movie was extremely deep and was clearly made for the people who watched the series from the beginning.Hell I even dug up and slept with my Woody doll after seeing the movie. Inception was only good for the effects, 127 hours was about a story of a hiker that got trapped ((happens all the time)), Social network is the story about the creation of a world wide fad, True Grit is a remake, the fighter is Rocky with an older brother, I never even heard of winter's bone, black swan is just a movie version of a ballet, the kids are alright ws just dumb, and as for the kings speech... no comment.

This pretty much echoes exactly what I think, except after reading the review for The King's Speech, I think I'm definitely going to have to see it.

What do you mean that Inception was ONLY good for the effects!?

True Grit for best picture and............Winter's Bone for worst picture.

David Fincher made an interesting story out of something everybody knew the ending to anyway.

I vote Inception because of the amazingly complex and unique story! but the social network will most likely win.Roses are red,Violets are blue, Optimus Prime is awesome, this poem doesn't rhyme, NOW GIVE ME YOUR FACE!

Just wondering why they have not done a Battlestar Galatica endng yet! Anyone know?

Inception was the best movie in 2010!!!!!!!

Kings speech was the best picture

I really thought Inception should have won... have not seen The King's Speech, but it seems typical that they would pick a drama over a film that spans multiple genres.

Anyone notice how Tina, in her review of The King's Speech, accurately predicted every single award?

Tina's picture

Thanks for noticing!  I did do pretty good this year with my predictions, but I was totally wrong about Tom Hooper.  That was a real surprise to me, but I'm happy for the guy!  Oh, it also won Best Original Screenplay too, and I have to admit I was totally charmed by David Seidler's speech.  Overall, it was not a big night of surprises though, which is kind of disappointing.

It should have been The Social Network; But I agree that The King's Speech was a wonderful winner.

I think Toy Storie 3 should win because its the only one out of all those titles that i have seen

TOY STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd totally go for "Black Swan" due to its amazing depth of the protagonist and the brilliant work of both Natalie Portman and Darren Aronofsky, but since that film is no option I go for Inception, mainly because of the reasons above mentioned... and the scene shown in the "HISHE Best Picture Summary 2011". Totally awsome!

My Winner for 2011 Oscars is........... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Out of your choices i choose the social network.

its just how it would have been from a distance

Toy Story 3 was a good ending to the series.........and Inception.....well.....since Christopher Nolan directed The Dark Knight.......I'm a fan of it..... plus the special effects were awesome.

Doogie's picture

You guys do realize they ended? @big font guy: Dark Knight wasn't even a nominee.

mclovin1218's picture

I know that smart alec. I'm just saying I like Inception because of the way Christopher Nolan makes awesome movies, like THE DARK KNIGHT for example!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeez you always hate what I post don't you?!?!? GOSH!!!!!!!!!

mclovin1218's picture

Those are the ones I pick out of the choices. My real best picture of 2010 is Ironman 2.
