So this is the new system. A little different, but still the same. Personally I think it's great! Way cleaner, the forum is actually part of the website now, the color scheme fits with everything else! (that was a big pet peeve of mine with the last version) I'm lovin it.

I like the color scheme, I love 2.0 I have to admit though, I'm too fond of the new forum set-up however. This will take a lot of time getting used to, mostly because there is so much more! It feels almost to complicated. Since this is my first post on 2.0 I hope I am doing it right.
Couple of Bugs
Hey, Cap can you tell us what's new? What were concious choices & what are side effects? Anymore tweaking on the cards? I notice I can't see comments until I am logged in & I don't appear to be able to make new posts - but that could be me as my laptop has exploded (again) and I am having to use my PS3 or my mobile to check out the site.
I like that we can now use some HTML, but still no strikethrough text! No underline either, or horizontal lines or images! But on the plus side, we do get to do some definition lists now!

Missing
The new forum looks to me as if it's missing a TON of stuff, correct me if i'm wrong, or if it will still be going through changes but it looks like there are no more smileys, no more text colors, no more locations, search feature, memberlist, total users online, post counts, the green signals for new posts and apparently URLS...

Hey guys! I think there will definitely still be tweaks. Some things we will have to get used to. Hang in there and we'll get the forum figured out. It was a BEAST to move over...definitely the hardest part. We're just happy that most of the old posts weren't lost in the process, which took a lot of work. Anyway, we will try to figure it out and post here as we learn things. Also, I think I will avoid bringing back post counts. Ha!

you know what... it is nothing short of amazing that none of the comments were lost (and that i got to keep my avatar and signature). I'm impressed. And if i sounded negative about the search and posting new topics things I truly apologize... seriously wanted only to give a head's up. (url was just an admission of my own stupidity). didn't mean to sound ungrateful. personally i love the new set up (yay no post counter... now i can enjoy all of animals posts with out feeling slightly competitive of him). but as i said in the scifi reimagination thread... Oh, I didn't think you were being ungrateful at all! We're actually really glad you pointed out the posting new topics thing and I would also like to have a search feature. I'm still getting used to it too. Hopefully we can post a tutorial thread that will help everyone out. And in regards to the scifi thread - I like your sharp wit CitizenBuck; I don't think you are rude at all! :) Although I do think it would be fun to hear what nice things you force yourself to say. Especially when we get a good batch of bad movies or t.v. shows.

like the layout, wish it was still all blue and the text was a bigger too but I'll get used to it. Also I'm not sure if I miss the post count or not, the higher the count the more people know how long you been here but on the other land it takes the competition away. One more thing what does the buddy list do?

Please tell me you guys can at least add some type of signal like previously with the green symbol altering that there is a new post, it's more tiresome to actually have to think! I don't like thinking about time and numbers, I want to see somthing that shows exactly where the most recent post is!Also, the newest post first is getting annoying because if someone replies to one specific post it takes a while to find the exact post.

I believe that the Alerts are still here; now, instead of being green, they are Yellow vs. White for unreplied threads.

Extra Add-ons
Cool - HTML editing, yay!If you disable the rich text & know your html, you can do other fancy stuff too. Like striking through text even though it's not an option yet, or adding a picture, yay! I think/hope this shows the new forum is a work in progress & that Daniel & co are doing the best they can to improve the forum.
