Super hero films come with a sort of standard now most expect in terms of "quality" and that quality is now becoming a little too cliche perhaps.  But Captain America's ending is straight up just convenient for the sake of making the Avengers. We watched the movie several times.  We talked about alternate endings, but the biggest problem we had with the film was the fact that he "chooses" and even says the words "this is my choice" to crash the plane.  After all the options put before him including having a friend (Howard Stark) who actually is a pilot.  There is no logical reason for Steve Rodgers to think he has to end it all right then and there, EXCEPT for the Avengers movie to take place with him as part of the cast.If you want to talk about a better (less comical) ending that still would have taken them the direction they wanted, all they had to do was take the heroic suicide choice out of the story and make it so the plane was crashing faster than he could react.  It's not hard.  He's already defeated the foe.  He's already dropped some of the bombs.  But rather than make an unavoidable situation they give two conflicting problems.  The engines are failing maybe, because he says "there wont be a safe landing"  But he also still has enough fuel to make it all the way to New York.  Well, which is it?It's annoying is what it is.  I firmly believe if they just made the engines give out and you had the same scene where he's having the "rain check on that dance" scene with Peggy while the plane is uncontrollably going down, it would make the movie 10 times better.  But sadly they chose to make him crash the plane himself.  Maybe this was to please Cap comic fans, I don't know.  I thought it was really forced.BUT!  I still like the movie. :)  And I'm excited for Avengers.  Doesn't mean Cap America had a perfect ending though.Enough about that.  Here's the credits:We've got a new voice on the roster.  My friend Chris Oldenburg gave us his voice for the role of Captain America, and I think he did a fantastic job.  I love the back and forth between Cap and Peggy.  Peggy played by Stephanie Fisher.  It makes me laugh every time.So I hope you enjoyed our little jab at the Captain.  :)  It was a fun one to make.

It was kinda forced, but still I did enjoy Peggy's/Steve's last words together... :) glad you enjoyed the film, also in the comics he doesn't die like that at all, he dies trying to stop a missle that is going to New York, and Bucky is with him helping him Bucky falls off and Cap gets in the ice... while I would of loved it to be adapted slightly after that, it might have not worked as well on film... and as I said I loved them talking... it was kinda nicely tragic... :) still loved your video because as Thor says: "Yes that may be true, but Cap HISHE is still awesome!" ;) can't wait for The Avengers! :)

I laughed so hard at the ending with the two Hyrda flame thrower soldiers. I really was thinking the same thing when i saw them do that in the movie "Did they plan that out beforehand to trap him with fire?" Another great short. Keep up the good work.

There is a high demand for you to drop alternate endings and just do diner segements. It's a relief you don't just give into fans demand and do just that. I haven't seen a classic spoof in a while (correct me if I'm wrong) Jurassic Park has been a long time coming. As for the actual short. Captain America was fun :)

Kiddo is in the map. He's made of of the islands. I kept expecting to hear Steph's voice saying "Captain, please!" like in Star Trek HISHE.

I was so anxious to see this! I kept telling myself, they're going to make a Captain America hishe, I can feel it! I just didn't imagine it like this! (In a good way!) But you HAVE to make an Amazing Spider-Man hishe. Please!!!

I don't sound anything like Samuel L Jackson, sorry. But this one was hysterical. Unfortunately I haven't seen the movie yet. The Cafe scene is one of the best so far.

isen't New York spelled the same way in german as in english?, or is it called something els in the german language?.

Jbluez's picture

Yep! It's exactly the same.  So is Chicago.  Maybe someone needs to make a parody video of THIS, and why sarcastic people shouldn't assume so much...lol  Other than that, yeah the ending bothered me too.

the autopilot was there, so if he were to just say, jump out then the plane would have gone back to new york and bombed everyone. that being said, it didn't really make sense though, the movie that is. you are rigth. if the plane was going down faster then it would make more sense. omg i'm such a nerd

Priceless loved the entire vid. Just keep on making themRed Skull: Daniel Baxter i am a big fan of your movies.

Well, I really enjoyed the video. But there's one question that bothers me. I won't be the first one who points out that New York is written the same way in German as it is in English. But, is it simply a mistake or did you intend it to be some kind of joke? I mean, maybe you wanted to show that most americans who do not know German think it has some different alphabet? Just curious, HISHE vids are awesome, and HISHE superhero movies are even better:)

averagepirate's picture

what were you using to make these? I would love to know!

I found a mistake in the video.  When he crashes the plane, you made it sound like he had enough fuel to go anywhere he wanted, but the thing is, there was no power.  The ship was powered by the cube.  When it was taken out, the plane started falling.   The only way he could go was straight or down.  If he went straight, he would be risking other peoples lives and would probably end up stalling.  It is a little strange how they present it and don't make it obvious though. Thanks, Jeff

Lord Stupendous's picture

The plane was fueled by the cube, but the ship could have had some short of battery where the energy from the cube was stored after being taken out; then it could take the energy that the plane needed from the battery in case the cube was compromised. Basically how they powered the weapons.

Yes they could have powered it on a battery, but why would they?  They knew the cube was better.  You could easily be right, but how would Captain America know how to use the back-ups?  How he knew how to fly in a completly knew technology, I don't know.  So how would he be able to find out something so complicated.  I was just trying to point out that it wasn't as simple as it sounds.  The thing I wonder about is, why didn't the guy take all the men with him?  There was barely anybody on the ship.

Lord Stupendous's picture

Was the cube running while the plane was in flight?

I would think so.
