I just started reading Screwtape Letters.

It's absolutely amazing. I love it.

Is anyone else a fan of CS Lewis?

I've read all of the Narnia books (some twice), and the Screwtape Letters. I agree that it's amazing. I'd like to read some of his other essay type books. A Grief Observed was written in response to his wife's death to cancer, and I think I'd like to read it next.

C.S. Lewis was considered by many to be the finest mind of his time. I read the narnia books as a child, and the Screwtape Letters not long after. I read the great divorce, but again that was a long time ago. It's high time I tried reading some more of his stuff, see what all the hoopla is about.

Lewis also wrote a science fiction series - sometimes called the Space Trilogy - that is a bit thick at times (particularly the third one), but I think worth the read. He is so steeped in myth (professor of medieval and renaissance English) that he can't help but weave some in (again, particularly in the third book.)

He was quite a prolific author and of course recognized especially for The Chronicles of Narnia and his Christian apologetics, so this trilogy is often overlooked. Anyone else read it? Opinions?

The Space Trilogy:
Out of the Silent Planet
Perelandra
That Hideous Strength

I've read "Out of the Silent Planet" and "Pelerandra". They had a few big words in them, which left me a little lost at times. But other than that I thought that they were very good. Im going tlo have to read the third one sometime.
