I worked with an elfin archer from the Lord of the Rings & met the Kiwi who made Sauron's gauntlet (or so they said)...

So, I was waiting for Iron Man 2 to start, the theater's pretty full, and I'm saving a seat for my friend on one side, and the one on the other side of me is broken. This guy starts to sit in the broken seat next to me. I say, "Sorry, it's broken - you're welcome to sit there, but you might want to try it out first."  I look up at the person as I'm talking to him, and I immediately say (fortunately in my head), "Hey, you're James Callis." As it turned out, there wasn't a second seat for his friend, so he didn't sit... though it did cross my mind to sell out my buddy and give his seat to Baltar! It would have been fun to chat with him before the movie started.I started to create a new Brushes with Fame thread, but realized CT kind of started one here. Maybe CT, you could update the topic to reflect all celebrity sightings instead of just the biggest - there are some really good stories already collected here that shouldn't be lost. (If you haven't, you should go back and read some of these - pretty cool.) We certainly seem to have enough run-ins with fame around here - especially with Daniel, Tina and Buck moving in the circles they do.  ;)Who else have you had a close encounter with?
