There is actually a definitive answer to this one. They've fought many times.
I think Hulk usually wins.

Hulk's got this one, gets stronger while the Thing gets a pounding. Thing once held him off long enough for help to arrive and stop the Hulk but other than that unless he kills him while Banner is still human Thing doesn't stand a chance.

yeah, that's batman he is the only superhero i can think of that would be capable of defeating the hulk with his 'defeat the hulk' gadget on his utility belt, cause you know... He's Batman.

Superman also defeated the Hulk. But he's superman, hulk's strong, but supes can fly, hulk is just a really good jumper. Once he's in the air, it's superman's game.

vs. any superhero.. technically, the Hulk always wins. Sure, the comic authors let other more popular characters beat him.. but the true Hulk (the one that gets stronger and bigger the more pissed off he is) is virtually unstoppable. Drop a mountain on him.. he chew through that sucker and then you are in deep doo-doo. I think his one weakness would be needing oxygen, but if Supes or someone else tried to take him into space or something.. he'd kill them before they got 3 feet off the ground.
You'd need Galactus or the Living Tribunal to kill the Hulk.

superman can't die... just because the hulk is green doesn't mean he is made of kryptonite... except when this happened...but it took a seriously brutal beiting to kill him... one that I don't think the hulk is capable of dishing out... wikipedia says he CAN breathe while submerged in water under the proper circumstances and also can survive the vacuum of space for extended amounts of time but still needs a breathe of fresh air every so often, so if supes could fight hulk into space they would fight for a long time until superman plunges hulk out of the suns orbital plane and so far from earth that hulk couldn't get back. if he could do this then hulk would eventually mellow out and become dorky bruce banner who does need air... i don't know if bruce would die before he hulked out again but i think he would eventually die out THAT is how you beat the hulk.

acually the apocolypes from xmen could take the hulk on, but he's a villan. anyways the apocolypes would just keep drawing more strength until the hulk is like an ant.

Well if it was Hulk vs. Thing... Hulk would win... by Hulk just being Hulk alone. Big, green, and mean. But only if Bruce Banner gets mad, of course. There are ways to surpress the Hulk's rage... Spider-Man told a "knock knock" and that actually calmed the Hulk down... But I don't think the Thing knows too many jokes.
Now Hulk vs. X-Men's Apocalypse that is more of a challenge... for the Hulk. Tough call on that one...
But with recent comic events... there is word that the Hulk is gonna get bigger, badder, meaner, stronger, and more red... that's right I said it... word on the comic grapevine is the Hulk is gonna get an upgrade and since the Illuminati sent the Hulk into space... he's gotten a lot more pissed off.
So who knows if after his upgrade he very well may be able to beat the snot out of Apocalypse. It all depends really... anything goes... ESPECIALLY for the Hulk.
Thing is pretty tough but pit him against someone who loves to smash... turning big boulders and buildings into tiny little pebbles...
TO put things simply... "Hulk Smash!" or "It's clobberin' time!" Being smashed would hurt... just ask Deadpool. :D

I believe that Hulk was holding the mountain to save the other super-heroes, so he was more worried than angry; Dr. Fantasic had to taunt him in order to evoke his anger and make him invincible.According to canon, the Hulk's legs are so powerful that he can jump three miles straight up in the air; meanwhile we've never seen The Thing jump an inch. This means that he's pretty strong, but nowhere NEAR as strong as The Hulk.I think The Thing might be able to trick the Hulk, like challenging him to a fight in the middle of the sun: but that's about it.Hulk's weakness is his pride and anger: he's easily provoked... but only a fool would WANT to! So I'd see that The Thing would try to take the Hulk, and get his stony ass handed to him-- so he'd start using his wits, and try to figure out how to taunt the Hulk into making a mistake. That way, The Thing would escape... but he sure couldn't BEAT the Hulk!

Guys think for a minute the hulk is an animal all he has is pure rage now the thing only looks like an animal, he has strategy.

Dosnt really matter, if the thing snuck up on Bruce, he would get angry and change. Then i think the hulk would just turn the thing into dust.
