See, I disagree with your New Moon choice. the1withegun was funny, but it wasn't really a "how it should have ended". They just had a 'real' vampire come in and kill Jacob and take Bella. And the middle option with the best animation isn't even a different ending so much as a, admittedly funny, recap of what DID happen. Thedeathspecial's one is the only one that took part of the movie and then showed what should have happened. That's my pic.Man, the wolverine one with the catwoman ending is good too. I bet that one and thedeathspecial will go head to head (with the Taken) in the end.

jayandsilentvic's animation shows that new moon should have ended with edward dying by the sunlight, filtered throught the churche's cross-shaped cut glass, while they are getting married.

Talking about your own animation in the third person, are we? Very sneaky. And don't get me wrong, your animation is very nice, and clearly flash-based or something close. I just think yours was more of a lampoon rather than an alternate ending. Besides, Bella and Edward DO get married, just not in this movie. If this was "How Eclipse (or whatever the next book is) should have ended" then I would be more on your side. But clearly it is high quality, and very funny, so my critisizm is mearly nit-picking an otherwise great animation.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm just 'Vic' from 'JayAndSilentVic' and I was only refering to the animation's entry name. If I really wanted to be sneaky I would had another account and start commenting but instead, I'm making it clystal clear that I was part of it since I wrote a whole production report down there! OK, maybe I am wrong, I was a bit off topic, but it's a spoof of New Moon, not of the Twilight series. But maybe you are wrong and Edward should have died right then and there so that we wont have more sequels! Or maybe we are both right and wrong, but it's pointless talking seriously about something that's crazy and it's made purely for fun!I really appreciate the comment and I'm glad the animation made you laugh a bit :)Thanks!

Thanks for the support! I wish I could have included the extra scenes I had done, but alas, the time limit was too small for me to fit them in, and be happy with them. lol. I'm not one to cut stuff out, just so I can fit more in. I would rather have everything play out the way that feels best to me, especially in regards to timing. If only it could be 5 minutes long....

I'm actually posting this using my wife's account - hope she doesn't get mad at me for stealing her online identity.Just wanted to say that we had a really good time creating our HISHE short animation (Wolverine, gavacho131313). It was a lot more time consuming & difficult than we thought it would be, and we have a much higher appreciation now for what it takes to create a HISHE movie.Thanks for choosing us as a finalist! -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- + -- Okay, hon, my turn now.We'd been wanting to work together on something like this for awhile, so this contest gave us a good excuse to finally do it. We hadn't watched Wolverine yet when the contest was announced, so we took a copy home and watched it, notepad in hand, to see what bad writing, bad acting, or plot holes we could mock.And man, was there ever so much we could mock in this film.I really liked the idea of exploring Logan joining some nudist colony (since, lets face it, that's what most of the ladies who saw this film came to see anyway). Or did anyone else see a striking resemblance between the Hudsons and the Kents? I'd have liked to see the old lady ask her hubby to pull over so they could pick up that "nice, naked young man" and have him respond with something like, "Gol dang it, Martha, we can't take home every nude weirdo we find on the side of the road." The hubby really wanted to go with some voice over work ala The Wonder Years, but we didn't have the time to explore that. Also, who wouldn't like to see Stryker commanding Deadpool to go fetch him a taco or walk his dog or something? And where's the explanation for Sabertooth turning from a leonid killer into the pathetic, vacant kitten with no memory of any of this in X1?But the thing we agreed was the lamest in the film was the weak sauce revenge Kayla comes up with for Stryker. Walking? That's it? What's going to happen, he'll lose a few pounds? Why didn't she make him to take her to the hospital? Sheesh. Talk about not thinking that through.Anyway, we really enjoyed doing this and hope there will be another contest before too long.Of course, we'd like it if our film won, but there are definitely some awesome finalists in here too. Hello there!
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to talk a bit about our creations! We are happy and proud to be here in the finals! :)
It was a great challenge making our parody but we sure had lots of laughs! We tried to have as many jokes as we could, aiming to have something funny every second if possible. Most of the animation is a funny re-telling of the movie. We knew that New Moon should have ended with our very special vampire having a very ironic and equally special death: Edward explodes in gay pride colors, during the happiest moment of his existence, thanks to sunrays, filtered throught the churche's cross-shaped cut glass!
We knew that the Blueray version of Twilight had small rainbows on Edward's sparkling. By exaggerating and combining it with the rainbow flag (gay pride flag) it's like "proving" that sparkling is "gay" (We don't mean to offend anyone of course!).
Having the movie in black and white is a risk since most people prefer colors and this might make us lose votes. It was an artistic choice which made some elements (like the blood and the rainbows) stand out more. Also, some of the sketches are very rough on purpose. Sure they could have more detail but it's like showing how some characters were completely unimportant! It's all part of the joke (and yes, it saved us time!). There were so many more jokes to be said but time was tight!
We are very pleased with the final result. There are so many jokes in there, almost anyone can find something funny to laugh about! What gives us the most joy is the comments we receive about certain parts of the movie. Some scenes were funny enough to make people tell us about them!
Who do we want to win? ...Well, we can't really be objective about this question, can we? :P
Anyhow, even if we win or lose, this contest was a great opportunity to be creative and share some good laughs! Thanks!!!
ps. Honestly, we never thought that some guys would actually do the socks idea! That was hilarious!

Okay, so I'm wondering about something. My whole family shares one computer, and I was wondering if you only count one vote per computer, or are all votes counted as they come in? It would be a shame to lose seven votes because we only have one computer to do it on! :D

I'm not sure how votes are tallied, but another way to get votes in is to head to the library and use the public computers. Just an idea.I hope you are getting lots of votes regardless. Personally, I think our film has the best entries across the board. I really like some of the other entries in the other films, but I can honestly say I like all of the Wolverine entries. I really hope one of us wins the big one. Good job on your film.

Just want to also thank everyone who has voted and commented on my animation. I wouldn't let myself play videogames until I finished it, and it took me a month to do, so this was definitely a powerful experience for me. I have never moved eyebrows on my animations before, but I took a chance and I think it turned out ok. The idea came to me when I was dragged to see New Moon. When Bella crashed her bike and Jacob took off his shirt to help her, the entire audience of cougars let out a collective sigh of angst. I remember thinking, "Man, I know how this should have ended." So there you go. My competition is fierce and I respect all of them. Good job everyone!

technical details
Eyebrows show a lot of emotion, was worth the shot! I was wondering how you did the morphing animations on the arms of your characters, what programs did you use? Its a very interesting technique :)

I used Adobe After-Effects for everything. For the bodies and heads I used the function called...you know I forget the name but the icon looks like a push-pin. you stick it in the drawing, and then you can stretch and move the drawing and the program will calculate the frames and drawing inbetween. you can also "starch" certain parts to stop them from bending, such as where a bone wouldn't bend. For the eyebrows and mouth I did old fashioned remove one drawing, insert another. my timelines were immense. Thanks everyone for the votes, I am honored to hold the crown.

You deserve it, too. You made a really great ending, and we're pleased to have lost to such a worthy competitor. Watching your film the first time, I laughed many times, but especially at Alice and Bella's reaction to shirtless Edward, because that is the -exact- response my sisters and I had at the theater. After 90 minutes of Jacob awesomeness, it was a bit of a let down. Way to capture that moment so perfectly.Congrats.
HOW WOLVERINE SHOULDN'T HAVE STARTED
Creating was more fun than difficult. Of course their was the standard headache of programs not doing what they're supposed to at the worst possible moment. The tedious part was the editing. I had to trim a nearly 8 minute video into 3 minutes. This required that I cut entire scenes. So I kept the best material that followed the theme of the contest and edited out the others stuff to squeeze into the 3 minute slot. I'll be uploading the deleted scenes on my youtube channel tonight.Thanks to those who voted. There were a lot of entries (good entries!) for me to even make it this far. I'm meeting some cool people and seeing some new videos and channels because of the contest. Thanks everybody.

wow 8 minutes is a long animation time! i did thought that your animation was jumping from scene to scene without any real continiuty but so did mine in a way. The fact that you edited out scenes explains it. And I guess you need to see the real movie to understand the jokes. Another similarity I see in your animation and mine, is that they both make fun of the movie itself and not so much of the ending. Good luck ;)

The ninja bros aka BobandBillPA want to thank everyone who decided to vote for us. It was a lot of fun to shoot. Eventually we had to cram 2-3 hrs of shooting into 3 mins but it was still loads of fun. Hopefully we can get some of that extra footage onto the youtube page. I dont know which videos belong to who, but overall I think everyone did a good job. I have my likes and dislikes but i won't go into that lol. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did.
