Terminate Salivation (yes, that was on purpose) has landed on my doormat....but it's the game & I haven't seen the film yet. Oops. The whole games based on films thing has really unleashed some stinkers onto the gaming public. The last one I played was Iron Man, which was pisspoor, so my expectations for Salivation are pretty low.Indeed, I'm stuggling to think of a good film to game conversion since the ZX Spectrum version of Ghost Busters in 1984. Surely it can't be that long can it?Gamers - give me your opinions.

I've never heard of a good game based off a movie. all of them are the same to me. But the WORST one out of ALL has to be Eragon: the Video game.... *Shudder*

Thankfully Terminator the game doesn't cover the same events as the film. It's still poor though. It's not too exciting and although I've not been playing long, I'm already halfway through, which doesn't bode well. The game takes an inordinate amount of time to load (or more commonly reload between deaths). There are loads of cutscenes, breaking up the repetitive gameplay - with the characters alternating between normal & funny looking. Oh, and if you wanted a bit of Christian Bale action then forget it - although most of the cast reprise their roles, Bale does not. While you do play John Connor, you look & sound nothing like Bale. What has really got me about this game is that it has just 13 trophies - but that 12 are gold and are awarded for completing levels at any difficulty and for completing the game on all difficulties. The thirteenth trophy is a platinum and you get it for getting all the others. In other words, on one play through of the game (I went straight for difficult)I will double my tally of gold & platinum trophies, which kind of devalues all the otherhard earned trophies I have  got. There was a really terrible movie version of Super Mario Bros. in the 90's. A really good and funny movie based on a board game would be Clue. It starred Martin Mull as Colonel Mustard, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Plum, Leslie Anne Warren as Ms. Scarlet, Madeline Kahn as Mrs. White and Tim Curry as the buttler.
