possibly this evening. i have a feeling my friends will be up for it :D
Grindhouse
I can't wait, but finding a baby sitter that'll agree to such a notoriously long flick is going to be tricky.
Grindhouse
OOOHHHH MAN, we just got back from seeing it! I can safely say, it's like nothing I've ever seen before! I was entertained through the whole thing (except for Tarintino's endless dialogue often got old). There were crazy fake previews for other movies too that were hilarious!
But, kids, it WELL deserves its R rating. It is filled with language, nudity, sexual content, drug use and MAJOR violence and gore. So be aware.
I gotta say, I really liked it. For what it was, it was very well done and hilarious...and it looked like a BLAST to make!
Grindhouse
That movie was something else.
Planet Terror was my favorite, but I was so worn out by the time Death Proof came around it never really stood a chance.
Yeah, I agree... they earned every bit of that R rating.
One thing confused me... Why did she have to open the car door like that?
Planet Terror
I just read that they're thinking about re-releasing Grindhouse as two movies. Bad news for Tarantino, but interesting for the rest of us.
I'd actually be tempted to see Planet Terror again... of course I'd probably have to slip out while Tarantino was having his meltdown. I don't think I could squirm through that again.
Grindhouse
i personally feel that having the two films together is the reason why tarantinos movie is so lame. After you get all fired up from the first film, your mind isn't prepared for the serious long boring talking second. maybe spliting them up might do them good.
Grindhouse
also wanted to point where i saw grindhouse promoting itself last night (and no i don't watch this show before you try to make fun of me!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdyy1_0OMs4
The idea of these two directors pitching their movie on this show just made me sad. btw the clip is totally boring and not worth watching all the way through, just wanted to show them all sitting there.
Grindhouse
Planet Terror: Pretty cool I enjoyed it. Action and the little "missing reel" bit during a specific scene I found to be histarically conveinient.
Death Proof: Revenge is sweet and fast. I admit it was pretty slow start and middle but the action parts were wicked. I enjoyed this one also.
All together a pretty wicked-awesome double feature. But them little coming attraction things I could have lived without. This was truley unlike anything I had ever seen. Bringing old school filming and techniques to the newer flicks: GOOD CALL!!
