rise above it. It's not worth stressing over every little thing people think. Take it from someone who is extremely uncomfortable around strangers. It's better to just smile and enjoy yourself instead of being afraid that people are analyzing you. People make assumptions all day long and that's never gonna change. If I worried about what people thought about me all the time I'd be a basket case because I say stupid things everyday.
I say be yourself, but never be afraid to be social either. Everyone is different and Everyone takes knocks along the way. Don't worry about what they said. The story isn't over yet.

well, the thing is, its true. most of the kids at my school try to avoid me, i'm usually alone at lunch, and the one girl I actually like doesnt even want to speak to me.... and since im the only boy without an Xbox, im singled out even more. (yes i know im deprived) i dont want to seem like a crybaby here, its just always nice to talk to you people whenever im feeling stressed....

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm "socially awkward" as well. You just have to find the right people to hang around. If you're friends aren't helping you at all, then they might not be good friends to have around.
