i made it to work late today. When I woke up my alarm had been going off for almost 20 minutes... and i snoozed it... lol I'm jacked up on coffee for the moment, but i'm sure it will wear off in a couple of hours

Oh, there are so many things to be said.

- Such as, I actually saw a couple of your posts pop up last night while I was on the forum and thought, "gee, Daniel's up late tonight." Funny enough, I didn't see this one though - and it was entertaining.

- And Jamesbloke, you're only asking the contents of the mtn dew because of your mojitos and alcopops. ;)

- And the fact that just a couple of days ago I changed my interests on my profile to include: "the forum (esp. when I can't sleep)" because I was in zombie mode, though I blame some amazing chocolate I was given.

- And that I was already 'RickRolled' earlier on Tuesday - twice in one day is two times too many! Gahh.

Insomnia is the friend of the grad student. Until he has to stay awake in a lecture the next day. :) Looking at the clock (and posts in recent days), I clearly haven't quite left that lifestyle behind yet... and I have to stay awake tomorrow. Fittingly, this will be my last post of the night.

I am taking your advice buck... several months later. I have had too many urges to chat it up at late hours in the night, that I think it's wrong to not share them with all. Because my opinions are so insightful and useful, you see. :roll:

Everytime I find myself staring endlessly into the monitor, I'm coming back here :)

So I've lived in my new house for a while now, and i'm starting to feel completely used to the area and what-not. I can navigate through my house in the dark and not be worried about crashing into anything, I recognize most sounds the house makes, or noises from neighbors kids or whatever, but there is one thing I can not get used to. There are these two Freakin Evil neighborhood cats that roam around the street. Not together, but separately. They just wander around. I see them all the time. They used to come in the back yard before Kiddo chased them away, but they do something new now that messes with me to no end. These cats wait till about 10:30 or later at night about once a week and simply pass by my living room window. It's a pretty big window, and Kiddo has designated it as his spot to sit and guard the house with his head between the curtains watching outside. He loves to sit there, he doesn't make a sound unless he see's someone. He's really the perfect motion detector when I'm actually expecting guests. But at night... it's not so great.

As you can guess, these evil creatures of the night decide to do their catwalk past the window just to show Kiddo how invincible they are. Now by this point I'm usually doing something completely oblivious to what's about to happen. Minding my own business, calmly doing artwork, or playing xbox or something, when suddenly Kiddo starts barking and tearing into the window. "BAARRARARRARARARARRRARAR!"

It Scares the ever living daylights out of me, EVERY TIME. It's dark outside, I don't know what's going on, and Kiddo is barking bloody murder at something near my window, and for that split second I start to think about every stupid horror movie i've ever seen and how I might be about to become the next storyline for a horror script. Kiddo's still barking, by now I tell him to shut up, and he's just standing tough in the window growling.

Once I get my senses back and switch into "bring it on" mode, I get up, peek out the curtains, and flip on the porch light if it's not already on, and almost every time I see one of those STUPID CATS either running away or still being brave enough to sit in the yard like some punk kid that gets a kick out of being a turd to you every day of your life. So what do I do? I open the door and shew the cat away like some grumpy old man, and they run off into the night to heckle some other peaceful family i'm sure.

I hate those frakin cats!

SO... with everything else I can handle at the house, I still can't get used to the sudden death siren Kiddo unleashes once a week at late hours of the night, because it always happens when I least expect it. Like tonight for instance, which is why I felt like talking about it all of the sudden.

Ps: i don't hate cats. Just the ones who are product of selfish owners.

It's raining here tonight...

I suddenly have the urge to run off into the neighborhood wearing a dark hood of some kind and fight crime. It would be awesome, I'd take out the bad guys, and when I succeed, lightning would strike back-lighting my victory pose as some civilian witnesses my super hero ways.

and then I'd make out with some girl whilst hanging upside down...

I wish i could say all my late hours of work is going to the short. I have to juggle back and forth from real job to HISHE all the time. However, I am putting in lots of hours on artwork for HISHE lately. (hence, the no posts) It's been a crazy last few weeks.

I would post more artwork samples, but it would spoil major jokes :)

HEY EVERYBODy!

today was a good day. I FINALLY finished all originally planned artwork. The magic number ended up being 34 painted backgrounds. 34 and counting really. I have a feeling more art will be added as animation starts getting put together, but for now it's 34.

This is the most artwork I've made for any project to date. Ocean's 40 had more backgrounds, but those shots don't even move, and these are far more detailed in comparison.

So's anyway, i'm proud of myself :)
