I just couldn't believe it. They don't even know why he died yet. I'm freakin' speachless. RIP.

They won't have the autopsy results for another 10 to 14 days... but the NYPD said that it appeared to be an accidental overdose of sleeping and anxiety pills... though, the autopsy will reveal whether that was true...
I was shocked when I had heard... my friend called me while I was at work... and I called him back on my break and he told me... it was like I got punched in the face... because I'm a big Heath Ledger fan... especially with his portrayal of the Joker coming up in The Dark Knight in July...

I watched news clips about this story all night last night. It keeps getting sadder and sadder. My heart goes out to his daughter and the rest of the family.

I hear several Best Buy stores are jumping at opportunity to sell many of the movies Ledger stared in at special low prices upon hearing about his death. Disgusting.

that's low best buy.

yeah, I am also bummed to hear about Ledger. :(

Any word about if they are going to still release Dark Knight? or is the movie scrapped for now? Not that I want them to push it through, I'm just curious if anything has been announced on their plans for Batman? I had heard all principle photography was finished, so Batman could be his last film.

It will still be awkward watching it now.

I read a statement from Warner Bros just talking about the loss and how much he'd be missed, but there was nothing about pushing back the release of Dark Knight or anything.

The movie was in post production, AFAIK, so I would assume that it will still be released. The studio has sunk too much money into and it certainly wouldn't be in bad taste to release Heath's final big film.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus on the other hand is going to have some hard times coming. (Terry Gilliam is cursed)

The whole thing is sad and while I'm not a huge fan of his work, I certainly thought he was talented and it sucks what has happened.

From what I have read, Heath had finished most of his post-production duties (Looping, publicity pics, etc.) on The Dark Knight... as for Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, he was off a week from shooting and was to return to filming in Vancouver next week... and now, Mr. Gilliam has some hard decisions to make in light of this tragedy...

I just heard about Heath Ledger's death yesterday. From what I heard on the radio, he had been really stressed out by his role, and was only averaging 2 hours of sleep a night, even with the pills. It's just so sad; I watched his movie A Knight's Tale yesterday too, and it was excellent.

Best Buy capatalizing on his death is awful. I feel so bad for his family. :(

I had heard on an interview with a doctor (not very familiar with the details of Heath's death) that the doctor said that he might have been a little wound up that he took a couple of anxiety pills... and you know if pills don't start working after an hour you might take one more... and then an hour later one more... and then since he was sleepless... he took a couple of sleeping pills... the mix of that and the fact that he had pneumonia... might've cause his unfortunate death... it seemed like a fairly reasonable explanation... but, I guess we'll find out when the autopsy results are released...

With the time differences I figure that I found out about it the night it happened. I just couldn't believe it I was really upset, still kinda am every time I think about it.

What Best Buy is doing is horrible. I really enjoyed Heath Ledger's movies as well as the next person but I think that's low and way too soon.

I feel absolutely horrible for his family, my prayers go out to them. He was one of a kind, guttsy, talented, and all around incredible.

I believe it was accidental even if it was overdose.

Rest In Peace.

i heard about this a few nights ago but the internet wouldnt let me get on to hishe, and when i was small, a knights tale was my favourite film, until i saw lord of the rings, and although i havnt seen many of his films, my heart goes out to his family, RIP
