Okay i know I already made a thread like this but I couldn't find it.
There was a movie I remember watching at school but I can't remember the name.
It was a documentary about the planets and their moons. John Lithgow was the narrator and they talked about how if the other planets were habitable what the cool stuff we could do there for like vacations would be.
IE: Snowboarding on Saturn or somethign like that.
Help?

Aaaargh! I think I know the thread you meant.
95 Worlds and Counting is my guess.
Does that mean it is my turn? Er. Erm. [Scratches head]. I can't think of any.
Er, does anyone remember a show where these four guys drove round Los Angeles in a black GMC van? I think they may have been on the run and may have had something to do with the local underground. I seem to remember they used to blow and shoot up a lot of people and stuff, yet no-one was ever hurt. Oh, and one of the guys was this huge muscle bound coloured chap who wore a lot of gold. I think the actor was named after a beverage and he used to say things like, "I ain't gettin on no damned plane, fool!"
Does that sound in the slightest bit familiar to anyone?

Thanks, I'd never have got that.
How about this one, I think it may be a bit obscure, so I wouldn't be surprised if it stumps everyone. It was a cartoon series in the mid eighties, about these giant robots from a robotic planet, who were at war with each other, but they ended up on earth. But these weren't just any robots, they could transform into cars and planes and stuff to hide in the human world - kind of like robots in disguise. I remember there was a lorry and a gun and a ghetto blaster.
I think these robots were fighting over this stuff called Energon. Oh, and I think there may have been films.
Does this found familiar to anyone?

I think that's a mash-up of Viva la Vida and Rhapsody on a Theme from Paganini.
Name this movie
I thought of this thread a couple of weeks ago when I needed it - glad to see it surface again. There was a movie (could have been a tv movie) that used to show up on the Saturday-afternoon-re-run-take-a-nap-while-watching time slot... about two young friends in Africa, one American (white), one African boy. They are taking turns rolling each other down a hill in a tire, and the American kid takes a bad spill. I think they have to fly him back to the States for an operation, and the African kid decides to go see him (maybe to offer his kidney or something?)... makes it to the US and promptly gets lost, then mistakenly shuffled off with a school group of African-American kids. I'm sure there was a happy ending, but I don't remember how it turned out. And I can't for the life of me remember the movie... just that it made an impact when I was young. Can anyone name it?
