OK, so how is it that absolutely NOBODY has already made a topic for this game? Am I the only one that's played it so far or something?Anyways, Red Dead Redemtion (RDR) is one of the best games that I've played... EVER! This game is nearly flawless in every single aspect. For starters, the scenery is absolutely astonishing. They seem to have everything right--the texture, the clouds, the way the shadows hit during different times of the day. Not to mention that the game itself is beautiful. The character's are also amazing as RDR features some of the most original and well-acted characters out there. Each character has his own personality, movement, and swagger in which you either love, or hate, more and more as the story progresses. The stories main character, John Marston, although his past is rather... shady, still makes himself easily relatable to most of the character and it's through his eyes that your own questions of morality are brought up.The actual story itself is amazing. It's a story about the end of the western era. It's a story about a man looking to redeem himself. It's a story about a man out to get his family back. It's a story that will keep you playing and bring up questions of what's good and what's evil. While the gameplay is very similar to any other Grand Theft Auto game, it's set in the west and, unlike it GTA, acts such as burglary, murder, and theft are actually discouraged. Combine that with the fact that it's set in the old west and you have one of the most original games out there.RDR is also a fully, sandbox game which allows you to travel anywhere without a break in the action (or quickly travel somewhere with slight loading). The game, however, is so beautiful that for the first couple of days of playing, you willl want to ride everywhere yourself so you can enjoy the beauty of the game. The game is also packed with plenty of side missions, challenges, and random encounters to keep you busy well into the next season. The game isn't without it's flaws, of course. Being such a huge sandbox game, it's bound to have it's glitches here and there. Some of othe missions aren't the most exciting, and you may encounter a couple of hiccups here and there. With a perfect story, characters, scenery and gameplay, minus a couple of flaws, I give this game a 9.5/10

RDR BOOOYAH!!!!
I've been playing this game on the PS3 since release.. I have to say.. It's AWESOME. RockStar cleaned out some of the offensive material of GTA4, changed the protagonist to a moral man, crafted an EXCELLENT story, and put everything into the wild west! There are a few too many glitches than I would like, though, and the ranked game modes (deathmatch, CTF, etc.) aren't very exciting.. Overall: A-
I've been playing it on Xbox
I've been playing it on Xbox 360 but I haven't played it online. What's it like?
GAME time!
It would be interesting to do a team up of sorts between our two Youtube channels for a really epic Zombie series or video. Essay Topics I Essay Writing Help . I had an idea for a super-secret video this December called "A Christmas Story ... With Zombies" but this is a conversation for Facebook..
Isn't this that Western
Isn't this that Western game, being that I live in Texas I can do without...
Everything is bigger in Kanye West's EGO
Actually, it's THE (greatest) Western game of all time. But, as I understand, Texas is actually very industrialized and has some of the largest cities in the US, major roads, and a plethora of tourist attractions. I'd argue that Texas actually looks NOTHING like the old westerns.Am I right?
Yes
Texas doesn't really look like that, If your in areas like the Hill Country it FEELS like it, but yeah there are more cities and industries more than the rest of the world likes to believe. It does sound like a game i'd like to get EVENTUALLY but right now I really don't want to have anything to do with Cowboys.
Woah there, Cowboy
What do you have against cowboys? The game really doesn't have anything to do with "cowboys" it's actually about the end of the Western Era (given your hatred of it, I think it just might be up your ally)
I gotta admit I laughed at that
Trust me living in small town filled with rednecks and racists and who walk around wearing cowboy boots and hats hating on anyone with a different mindset then them ends up getting shot or bashed in the newspaper forever. There are a few western movies I actually really love espcially "Unforgiven" but I think when anyone else thinks of cowboy they think of culture or tough heroes that are real MEN. When I look around I see some pretty stupid people. Like it's a bad sign when they only cool cowboy is from a pixar movie.Don't get me wrong i'm open minded and I bet the game is a lot of fun, hasn't it been winning awards? I'd defiantly be open to playing it and giving it a shot and from what i've read it sounds like the only game that actually takes the time to give it a lot of history. I'm assuming it's just not my style though. As for now i'm sticking to Green Day Rockband with Billie Joe & Co.
rocks!
Love this game! Had to order custom paper 'cause I spent most of my free time playing it)
I do have this game, mainly
I do have this game, mainly because my brother wanted it. Basically he thinks hes a cowboy, but anyway I thought the game was ok. However I did NOT enjoy the story. I thought it was fairly boring and the ending was very predictable. And I thought the gameplay got very repetative by the time i made it to mexico. The only times I play it now is when my friends want to play multiplayer. But I might start playing it a little more now, since the undead nightmare is coming out............zombies always makes stuff better.
You and the guys from Ninja
You and the guys from Ninja Bros. should make a zombie video. Ahhh, October.
A zombie video would be
A zombie video would be awesome! I have no doubt that we will do one eventually, considering were big fans of zombies. We have a video in the works at the moment, since we are pretty overdue. We just have to find a day where everyone is free to shoot it.
It would be interesting to
