$24 million dollar opening weekend.
Someone here has to've seen it. What did you think? Better than the last one?
Comments:
Resident Evil Extinction
Better then the second one, not as good as the first.
It's a little too light on logic and action/horror. Mila did a solid job, but everyone else was over the top. It ties up a few ends from the last movie and leaves a big opener to the next. Wait till it hits cable.
Resident Evil Extinction
i saw it in theaters when it first came out and i thought it was great. it was one of the best movies ive seen in a while
Resident Evil Extinction
Much more watchable that the previous two - this one actually felt like a movie instead of an interminable video game cut scene. Without actually giving away the plot, all I can say is that it has far too many deus ex machina (read: lazy script writer) spots, but on the whole it's not too bad. Unless you're a huge fan of the actress, I'd recommend waiting for the DVD release.
Resident Evil Extinction
Never seen it. Heard bad and good. Considering watching it.
Resident Evil Extinction
how the hell do you dress a zombie ?
Why the earth is now a desert ?
Why do you call this movie Resident evil ?
Except Umbrella there's nothing like the games, ho yeah we saw Claire, so what ?
I think it would be a good movie if they were call it Zombie revenge, Zombie rules or whatever, cause it doesn't follow the stories, and it's so disapointing for a fan of the video game.
Resident Evil Extinction
Hardcore fans of video games shouldn't watch movies based on video games for the same reason that literature buffs should avoid movies based on classic lit. In 95 cases out of 100, the genres just don't translate that well - in either direction; novelizations of games and movies are also almost uniformly bad. It's just that if you know and love the game/book very much, you will inevitably find things which the movie script omitted or FUBARed.
That being said: RE3 was ok as a standalone movie. It was sufficiently internally consistent. As part of the larger RE franchise, however, it seems to be a bit of a non-sequitur. But honestly - what the heck did you expect, after the previous two?
Resident Evil Extinction
...honnestly I didn't hate so much RE2, I mean yeah it suck but there was some good idea on it.Camera view, Gill, S.T.A.R.S, the big boss, Racoon city, off course they finnally scrapt is potential but I hope, before view, RE3 that they might learn of there mistakes.
I beg you'r pardon( ) for my english skills, wrote in it it's harder than just spoke it. :?
Resident Evil Extinction
I personally hated everything about RE2... especially L J.
Well I hated almost everything... I thought the zombie dogs looked cool and Nicholai was kinda neat.
RE Extinction was much better than RE2 in almost every single regard IMO ... even L J seemed to be less annoying somehow. Tyrant was handled a lot better than RE2's "nice guy once you get to know him" Nemesis.

Well said Aleck. I think that sums it up perfectly.
But in the end... I don't think it's the worst of the series.
