I was watching t3 on the other day when suddenly I noticed somethin weird at the end. (Spoilers from this point on)The door to the fallout sheltor is shutting since the whole code wasn't input. So the terminator holds open the door using BOTH of his hands. Then He uses ONE hand to grab the TX while hes HOLDING THE DOOR with the OTHER hand. Then suddenly he uses his other hand to take out his chip and plant it in the TX. So hes grabbing the TX with one hand, inserting the chip with the other hand and holding the door with the OTHER OTHER HAND???!!!So wuz the door gonna stay open now or did the terminator have like 3 arms or was it just poor story writing?
Comments:
Yeah.... by chance, are you
Yeah.... by chance, are you familar with the terms RIGHT and LEFT, rather than simply "other hand" and "OTHER HAND" ?Seriously, t's a bit less confusing than "the terminator holds open the door using BOTH of his hands. Then He uses ONE hand to grab the TX while hes HOLDING THE DOOR with the OTHER hand. Then suddenly he uses his other hand to take out his chip and plant it in the TX. So hes grabbing the TX with one hand, inserting the chip with the other hand and holding the door with the OTHER OTHER HAND???!!!"
Since the point was not
Since the point was not which hand is used for what, but that there seems to be three of them "other" is perfect. On-Topic: I saw that movie a long time ago but didn't the door crash him? Wasn't he supposed to hold it but for just a little bit so the meatbags *cough* I mean humans *cough* I mean other characters can get trough? If i remeber wrong though then a three armed arnold IS pretty impressive... Or is using his leg if he still had that at that point. Ather lenoro' sharanteh! (Ather's light guide us!)"Food for thought!"
He has his leg propped up
He has his leg propped up but you can't really see it in the movie due to angling of the camera. So in order, he has both hands on the door so that the humans can get through, the TX comes out and the humans still need a little room to get out of harms way; therefore, he masters all of his robotic and limited strength into holding the door with the left arm and the TX with the right. After the humans are as far away from the TX as possible, the terminator has the option to shut the door and kill the TX for good. However, Skynet set a system so that terminators cannot kill themselves, so he keeps the door open. But by finding a loop hole much like he did earlier in the film, he stuffs the proton pack into the TX's throat so that instead of committing suicide he commits termination one last time. The scene in mostly trying to get the audience to notice the sacrifice he is making for the (spoiler) man he killed (but not yet) even though Arnold is still a robot, so it doesn't show you well enough the leg that is keeping the door from crushing his titanium skull.
Interesting theory
Although it makes little sense that even though the terminator lifted the door using both hands with great difficulty yet he is able to hold the door with his leg easily as he uses both of his arms to terminate the terminatrix. If the theory is true then it was bad story telling indeed. As for the sacrifice, I was unable to connect with him the way I did in T2 so the whole thing seemed pretty pointless if they wanted it to be emotional. However it was still pretty cool that he was able to do what he did. \ Thanks :)
