We had been planning a "Halloween" type cartoon for October, but with the Trip to L.A. the timing was just too short to pull off something the normal length. So October was actually going to be scrapped and just pick up for November.

Well last weekend i'm chillin all by myself watchin some movies trying to maybe get some ideas for anything new, and i decide to watch Chainsaw Massacre (the 2003 version) This movie really freaked me out the first time i watched, but for some reason this time it was just boring. I couldn't put my finger on it. Then i realized that Leatherface is actually kind of a wimp! Everytime he takes someone out he does so by whacking someone from behind. Everyone always runs away from him and gets killed, but the one time Jessica Biel actually fights back she actually cuts one of his hands off with no problem. So at that point i just started drawing up how easy it would be to take out Leather face if they had no fear. :D

*bam* foot to the crotch!

So there you have it. This one was made in record time, but also hold the record of shortest in length. One background. Two Characters. That's all you need i guess. Even though it's a shortie I still think it turned out pretty good.

Also i need to say thanks to Stephanie for doing such a great job with the voice work. You rocked!

Comments:

its pretty funny. i like teh end part oooo im scary with a chainsaw GET UP!

I'm seeing no video. I'm getting the Audio great, but that defeats the purpose a bit. Any clue as to what's going on?

I re-opened my browser and now it works. Good job guys. Hilariously painful.

...Or maybe painfully hilarious, hmm......whatever.

My favorite is the crunching noise when she kicks him in his special place. Good grief!

Every time I go out of town, you kick out a new HISHE release. Always a great surprise.

Just to give you a heads up... I'll be gone again in a few weeks for Thanksgiving, so... get to work.

But yeah... I remember being kinda confused by Leatherface when I was a bit younger. Jason, Michael and Freddie were all these quazi supernatural killbots. They were more or less unstoppable. And they were bound to jump out at you from anywhere at any time.

But Leatherface was just a guy right? Now I haven't seen the new TCM so I recognize that my observations are somewhat out of date... but as I say... that's never stopped me before.

Leatherface should have been frightening, I suppose, because he's "Based on actual events" and, therefore, could be that quiet dude next door (if you lived in Texas)... except that he wasn't really terrifying for some reason.
His chainsaw was terrifying I'll give you that.
And his costume was kinda gross.
But really, if you look at him, he's pretty out of shape, isn't he? I mean you can probably out run him without too much of an effort, right?
And he's not like a zombie invasion where suddenly they're everywhere. He's just a guy. A guy that's really not actually that hard to hide from either (as long as you don't use his house to hide in).
And it's not like he can actually sneak up on you, you know? You at least have a bit of a head start while he fights with the pull cord.
No resurrection powers either, huh?
That's too bad.

But you give him credit because he's based on actual events... except that when you look into it you quickly realize that he's not really all that based on actual events as it turns out.

Leatherface never really worked for me. He wasn't John Doe or Hannibal. He wasn't one of the red necks from Deliverance. Or Freddie, or Jason, or Michael. He was just kind of not quite as scary as the rest of them...

Even though I haven't seen the new TCM, I think you pretty well summed up the problem with Leatherface here. He's just some guy. Good one. I enjoyed that last Trick or Treat. Thank you.

Citizenbuck, I highly reccomend you check this new TCM out. I haven't seen the brand new one yet, but I thought the 2003 version was AMAZING. Really well done. And this is coming from a big fan of the old version!

I share your thoughts on Leatherface...and I always felt the same way about Michael Myers too. They were always chasing spry young teens. How were they able to keep up? Did they work out? Did they train for murder olympics?

However, the face-made-out-of-human-skin angle always kept me fearful of Leatherface. In fact, it still kinda gets to me! )

I'll give it a shot. Absolutely. I'm up for it.

I don't know.. the idea of a serial killer who wears a William Shatner mask is downright chilling.

I hate these types of horror movies, but my best friend back home loved them and always told me about them. As he told me, I noticed a recurring theme. Psychopath chases girl, girl runs away, girl falls, girl gets up and continues running, girl falls again, psychopath kills her.
For crying out loud! It's like they're saying girls can't defend themselves or something. Seems bias to me, and I'm a guy!
Figures TCM appears to be the first where the girl turns around and fight. Why? Being from the South, I'll tell you why... TEXAS. Come on! Many of the girls from my hometown would have killed Jason and Clyde (or whatever his name is) as many times as they resurrect and have fun doing it.
I can think of some girls that would be all over these psychopaths with heavy ordinance and several others that would shoot them apart with buckshot. All the guys would be along side doing the same, and you know what? My hometown is one of the civilized and wealthy parts of the South. We just accept our heritage and culture as well. Most of us hunt, fish, and embarrass ourselves trying to catch greased pigs, but we don't talk with an obvious accent and can do business like the Trumps. And I'm not from Texas (not saying Texans have more grit... even though they do.)
Now, I'm sure there are plenty of girls in the North that could fight these jokers as well. That's not my point. My point is... why isn't the kick in the privates used in the movies? Huh?
I loved this short just because it so states the obvious flaws in these movies.

Texas chicks ROCK!

this short is really good, and although i havnt seen ANY of the tcm films (i know, im shocked at myself) leatherface is jsut a guy, were as freddy is a demon thing, jason is undead, and mikes an unstoppable badass. The thing i like about leatherface, is that his mask was the inspiration for buffolo bill in silence of the lambs (well i think so)

BigMan, I highly recommend both the original and the jessica biel remake. I know I just ranted on another post about movie remakes and how I don't like them, but I was really happy with this remake.

In my opinion, you can avoid most of the other TCMs. Especially "The Next Generation" with Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey. I just watched "The Beginning" and it was OK, but don't see it until you've seen the Jessica Biel version.

Its worse when the killer don't even run but finally catch and kill the girl.
I mean, if someone chase me, like a cop, I know he wont kill but I'm pretty sure I'll run like hell anyway !

letsgobuffs, unless im mistaken, you are saying you think that mike is as big a joke as leatherface (even though leatherface isnt a joke lol). Mike is my favourite horror villain ever, and or that reason, i dont like jason because hes a copy of mike. I do however like leatherface, but only because of the mask and the chainsaw. (i found out that the mask want inspiration for buffolo bill, it was serial killer ed gein)

I read a whole book about Ed Gein...so bizarre! And I do like Leatherface. I love that he's mainly evil because he's misunderstood. There's something morbidly sweet in that!

*imagines leatherface being sweet*
LOL

i watched the remake, it was awesome, unfortunately for me, it didnt start untill really late, so when i found out the orginalw as ona fter i kicked myself because it didnt finish untill about 3 in the morning.
Know anywhere i can watch the original on the internet??

I'll never know how that man could hammer nails into his pelvis and stick alcohol soaked cotton balls where the sun don't shine and light them on fire.... I would have forgone that torcher by watching the extended director's cut of Dudley Do-Right or something...

dudley do wright is awesome!

according to atari, if leatherface touches an object he gets stuck :)

I think it's pretty ironic (considering the HISHE short) that on the Atari 2600 game Texas Chainsaw Massacre that if Leatherface gets a game over, the screen turns black and a woman runs on the screen and kicks him in the butt.

 if anyone says this ending sucked, how else could you do it?

i mean, yeah it was rushed... but did the real ending make any more sence?

jdude15's picture

Even though this one is pretty short, I laughed my head off when she kicked him in the crotch and started beating him senseless while he cried like a baby! Another HISHE masterpiece! Well done! This will be one of my favorites for a very long time!
