This band is amazing. The lead singer is (I think) 18, and from Houston, TX. He signed his first songwriting contract at 15. Amazingly mature lyrics for someone so young.

I'm listening to "My Dear Country" off the new Norah Jones album that came out Wednesday...the whole album is GREAT. Go buy it immediately! )

I also re-found "Try A Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding on Wednesday. YUMMY!

I don't have an advance copy of the new one by Modest Mouse... you'd be surprised how few artists pimp anything to Birmingham. But it was good to revisit their last album again which is, as it turns out, exactly what I was in the mood for.

I think I'm going to start an obsession for them. I've been listening to the song Click Click Click Click over and over for the last hour. After shooting two weddings in as many weeks... This song is very therapeutic. Good times.

Well, the outdoor show was quickly moved inside due to a huge downpour, and it was fraught with technical difficulties, but overall, it was SO COOL. I was sitting at their feet, about 5 feet away. Beautiful! I took some photos...I'll try to get them up on my myspace page today or tomorrow.

Chris Cornell's new album comes out May 1st. It'll be awesome, it will be all new tracks including the Casino Royale theme and several others. FYI Audioslave is Chris Cornell-less :(

Last night I went to a show... it was (and I'm not kidding) a 13 year old Elvis impersonator.

He was truly very gifted as far as Elvis impersonators go (not that I've ever actually had the fortune to see one before).

It was every bit as surreal as you'd imagine.

Oh DUDE. I'm really jealous of you. I'm not only a huge Elvis fan, but a huge Elvis impersonator fan!

Never seen a 13 year old one though!

I think it's safe to say that man has realized the full potential of his guitar as an instrument. I'm stunned.

Anyone seen the movie Sneakers? Legendary cast. Woulda made an amazing TV series. Anyway, they did the instrumental soundtrack in a similar way using a piano.

I have a wide taste in music. I have just about everything in my music collection. You can find Country, next to Jazz, next to classic rock next to Disco and so on.

The 50's were before my time, but I like that decade's music and fashion. %0's hairstyles are great. And give me jeans and a white tee-shirt, or hawaiian shirt any day.

It's hard to find people who likes all (or most) of the songs I like.

But the last song I listened to was Finding Tokyo (Coicidentally BY Finding Tokyo) It's a band ad song that a friend of mine is in a little later when I got time I'll see if I can post the song.

I am currently cultivating my taste in Blues. And I've discovered several good bands. The Black Keys are amazing. The singer has a very smoky, soulful voice. Also I found the song from Black Snake Moan that Sam Jackson sings in the bar. It's called StackOLee.
